The curriculum that we use for our 1st year classes (2 year olds), is the Peabody Early Experience Kit and Warm World. This curriculum is designed for guiding the young child in exploring their world through hands on experiences. This kit features 2 main puppets, Mr. Pazoo and Ohno. We will also introduce colors, shapes, and math skills one through five.
The Peabody Language and Development Kit is used in our 2nd year classes (3 year olds). This kit features 2 puppets named P. Mooney and Zoey. This program includes varied activities and experiences that cover fine motor skill development, math skills, problem solving, recall, listening skills, social development, information about the world around him/her (colors, animals, roles, etc.) and emotional development. We will also begin an introduction to the alphabet using a curriculum from the Scholastic Program. We will also introduce the numbers one through ten.
In our third year classes (4 year olds), the curriculum used is The Letter People. The third year class curriculum also includes beginning phonics. The Letter People introduce the alphabet letters one at a time, such as Mr. Noisy Nose, Mrs. Jingle Jacket, etc. There are stories, songs, finger plays, and projects that reinforce each letter. We also use mini-themes which are teaching units that incorporate art, science, math skills, and cooking into learning experiences. It also covers fine motor skill development, gross motor development, linguistic development as well as problem solving. We will also introduce the numbers one through twenty.
We also have Chapel, Computer Enrichment Class, Music Therapy Sessions, Manners and Etiquette (3rd year classes only), and many other daily activities.
